We are seeking Behavior Technicians for in-home ABA services in Ottawa county Michigan. We are currently seeking Behavior Technicians for Holland, Michigan. There is potential for center-based employment in the future!

If you enjoy teaching and mentoring children, this might be the job for you! We are seeking passionate individuals to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy with children, teens, and young adults with Autism. ABA experience is preferred, however, we are considering entry level applicants and will provide all the training that is necessary.

Pay: $16–$18/hour base pay + $3.20/hour Michigan Direct Care Wage Premium (Medicaid funded) for all billable hours
Total effective pay: $19.20–$21.20/hour

Position
Behavior Technician, full-time (30-40 hours) or part-time (6-29 hours)

Behavior Technicians use ABA teaching strategies to teach a variety of skills to clients. Some of the skills you may teach during ABA therapy sessions include:

● Safety and Self Advocacy
● Self-Help Skills
● Functional Communication (vocal, sign or picture exchange)
● Social Skills
● Play Skills
● Toilet Training & Hygiene Skills
● Following Routines and Structured Schedules
● Participation in Focused Learning Activities
● Independence with Daily Living Skills
● Tolerating No and Waiting
● School Readiness Skills
● Following Instructions
● Stranger Awareness
● Community Safety and Skills

Daily Job Responsibilities
● Provide direct one to one ABA therapy in center and/or in-home settings
● Follow written skill acquisition protocols and individualized behavior plans
● Collect and document data using paper and pencil
● Communicate with clients, parents/guardians and other caregivers about the client’s progress with ABA therapy
● Assist ABA Supervisors, who are Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs) and/or Qualified Behavior Health Professionals (QBHPs) with functional behavior assessments or skills testing
● Write daily billable session notes summarizing data collection and behavioral observations
● Receive and implement vocal feedback from Supervisor during session (e.g., to probe a new or unknown skill) and written feedback outside of session
● Model for parents/guardians how to implement behavior plans or skill acquisition protocols and collect data on caregiver implementation, as directed by the client’s ABA Supervisor
● Travel to the center location, to client’s homes (if client receives in-home services) and to community settings (if in client’s treatment plan)
● Participate in Team Meetings with the client’s ABA Supervisor and other behavior technicians
● Participate in group staff trainings, when assigned

Qualifications
● Must be at least 18 years old
● HS diploma or GED
● Must have reliable transportation, valid Michigan driver’s license, proof of full coverage on employee’s personal vehicle, and acceptable driving record
● Must meet physical demands of position. This position requires lots of movement, including running, bending, twisting, walking, and continuous interaction with your assigned child. This position requires lifting (of clients, if applicable, or materials/equipment, up to 50lbs)
● Experience working with children preferred
● Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
● Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
● Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, timeliness and reliable attendance
● Undergo a background check within 30 days of hire

Hours of Operation
In-Home-varies across clients-8:00am-8:00pm Monday-Friday
